Soon we will start working on getting the 146.775 repeater back online, Hopefully hope to have it back on air in October 2026!
What we have to do is set up a split site so the repeater can actually receive signals without getting trashed by horrid powerline noise which is a huge problem at the TX site. Once we can get the RX site set up with the RF link we will bring the transmitter back online at low power 10 watts.
What do we need to do?
Once this is all done the repeater will have a TX output of about 10 watts but it will be on air again. It should have decent RX coverage however, depending on how things go on the TX site the power might get bumped up to 50 watts to see how it handles all that. This is all a temp set up to just get it back on the air and somewhat usable.
At some point the repeaters will have to be moved to a proper site, to do that we need a UHF 438-470 110w quantar, rc-210 controller, 6 can duplexer prefer tx/rx systems vari-notch, crossband couplers, a vhf and uhf antenna, 1-5/8 heliax. This will take a lot of time and who knows when that will all happen as it takes A LOT of $$$$$$$$$$ and $$$$ is the killer.
But the hope is at least to get the 146.775 repeater back online and somewhat useable
UHF Repeater (442.275) is on the air at low power, it has issues as we think its the PSU starting to fail, it runs the rx and exciter ok, but add the PA inline and the PSU fails and shuts down. PA seems to check out fine so everything points to the PSU. IDK when we will get around to all that so the UHF might be stuck at its low power of 5w until it can be replaced with a quantar.
