11 Meter STL (Studio To Transmitter) Frequencies.

Broadcast Auxiliary remote stations are used for relaying broadcast aural and television signals. They can be used to relay signals from the studio to the transmitter, or between two points, such as a main studio and an auxiliary studio. The Broadcast Auxiliary services also include mobile TV pickups and remote pickup stations which relay signals from a remote location, back to the studio. 25.87 MHz to 26.45 MHz / 25870 kHz to 26450 kHz (band shared with other services, including the little-used 11 meter shortwave broadcast band, HF marine and numerous other services).

Since these frequencies are close to the CB band, hearing one or more broadcast auxiliary remote (also known as a STL or studio to transmitter link or a studio-transmitter link), activity on these frequencies can indicate an opening on the 11 meter band. The 25870 kHz to 26450 kHz range is also used by freebanders operating near below the CB frequencies, short-range data link/paging systems and other services.
